Tiada Tajuk (No Title in Malay) is a video commissioned during an artist residency in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, made from a collection of cut-out headlines from newspapers collected as a diary of the Malaysian stay and a voice humming over the song Funky Town.

the headlines of English newspapers (already a filter in themselves as they’re addressed mostly to foreigners or ex-pats) serve both to indirectly register the everyday of the country as well as a personal journal. the distracted humming of an easily-stuck song completes the personal diary of the artist-in-residence experience of dépaysement and ennui.
